Here are a couple more pictures of the bag...nothing special, but you wouldn't believe how much I use this thing!

Life is a marathon, not a sprint....right?
Not sure if I agree with that...I feel like I'm sprinting to get everything done before class starts tomorrow.
So the weekend did not go as planned and I definitely did not get everything done I wanted to, but such as life I suppose.
We did have a successful trip wedding dress shopping for my sweet Beck! She's going to be such a hot bride! Of course, you will not see pictures on here until after the big day, just in case the fiance decides to peek :)
I got a wild hair at the end of last week, and it was time for some late spring cleaning. I purged my closet, getting rid of all items not worn in the past year. I also decided to re-vamp the craft room. I had a bunch of wasted space that was asking to be used. I will post some pics (maybe) when I get it done. It's taking longer than anticipated after a shelving hiccup which caused a minor break-down in Lowe's. I think the sure sign of stress is crying over shelves. I should probably get that under control.
All that to say, I have some pictures as promised (more on my flickr, as always), and others will come later.
1. Latest lake trip

Ashley, pondering the meaning of life.

Lance, always the stud.

This was the extent of our lake activities - it was cold and rainy the entire time we were there...but that didn't stop the boys from being boys.
2. Newest bag - pretty basic tote but fabulous for carrying anything and everything!

3. Taylor's pencil bag - Sadly, I finished this and was so excited to give it to Taylor that I forgot to take pictures. I'll try and remember to get some soon.
4. New dress - did not get a single thing done this weekend :(
5. Latest garage sale finds - still in progress (i.e. need to take pictures)
6. One of the most recent embroidery projects (my new hobby that was previously mentioned!) I am in love with this...it doesn't require tons of supplies and I can do it anywhere!
Behold. The "Hippie" bird as Ashley named it....pattern came from here.

7. First soccer game of the season!

It took her a little while to get warmed up, but she got in there after a while!

She sure does love her Uncle Ashley. This makes my heart happy.

She had fun, but apparently needed to protect that calf more than the shin...it's a new fad I suppose :)
Have a good week - please keep us in your prayers. It seems as though we are being tested heavily right now and we need all the strength we can get.

Like thoughts ripped from my very own mind.
I feel so behind on blogging! I've had some free time in between CPA sections and have been busting my tail to try and get some projects done before it all starts back up next week. As a result, my blogs have been lacking. Should I get done this weekend what I would like, I'll have some new pictures for you...
1. Latest lake trip
2. A picture of the bag I mentioned a while back (sheesh, I'm really behind)
3. Taylor's pencil bag....specially made for my big 3rd grader!
4. Another new dress (assuming it is actually presentable when I'm done - I'm attempting this one sans mom).
5. My latest garage sale finds - oh how I love other people's junk.
In the meantime, this popped up in my google reader today and really hit home. If you're like me and truly believe your purpose is bigger than the mundane life you lead, take the time to read it - it's worth it.
Happy Thursday!

Typical Tammy
It had been entirely too long since me and the concrete fought, so we duked it out on Tuesday and the concrete won.

We decided to take a nice bike ride Tuesday morning, and I knew the whole time something was going down...and I was that something.

I was always a very accident-prone child (walked into a fence and broke my nose, bike accident resulting in a concussion, the list goes on and on), so this is nothing new to me. My handlebars caught one of those cables that anchors the telephone poles to the ground, and sent me flying.
Here are my battle wounds.
The ankle - this bled the most.

And the bruise - not very clear but you get the point (I wasn't practicing my photography skills with these).

Overall, I know it could have been much worse, but it's been a fun story at work this week. Those of you that know me will not be surprised by any of this :)

So many pictures, so little time!
So here's the update, an abridged version. Check out my flickr for all the pictures from all of the festivties. Here goes!

1. I threw a surprise party for Becky a couple of weekends ago...she was in China since May and we're glad she's back!

2. Becky and Chris got engaged! (She's had an eventful couple of weeks).

3. Ash graduated and we partied (just a little bit).

4. I made some cards.

5. Stoney was, well, Stoney.

6. We took a new family picture :)

Thanks, I needed that.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Was what I needed this afternoon. Funny how those verses, that were ingrained in our minds long ago, have a different meaning every time we hear them.
Have another test this weekend - so after that expect an update with pictures! I've found a new hobby (which probably doesn't shock you), and I'm SO ready to dive in.
I will have about 2.5 weeks off until my next class starts - a much-needed break to recuperate. Life is not easy right now, but is it ever? I know God will provide and I'm at perfect peace...I just pray that Ashley can truly let go and let God. I know it's not easy, but I know we will be ok.
On a happier note, Ashley's graduation is this weekend as well..he was done in May but will actually be walking on Saturday. I'm so proud of him and I know his daddy will be watching.
Have a great weekend.
Today I'm grateful for:
1. Godly people in my life who always have the right words (I think it comes from being a mom or something)
2. A weekend of milestones (graduation, sitting for another section of the CPA)
3. Time with family (hey Beck!)
4. My husband, who is my strength and my best cheerleader.
5. The next two weeks of crafts galore. I live for that time...and getting to see the hubby for more than an hour a day isn't so bad either :)

We can't win.
In desperate need of prayers for Ashley's job situation....need encouragement, just a glimmer of hope.
